‘Shakyamuni Wandhana’ Vesak Festival

Step into a realm of spiritual transcendence and festive joy as the FAS Union proudly presents the ‘Shakyamuni Wandhana’ Vesak Festival. Held on the 6th of May at the cricket playground, this event brought together students from all batches within the Faculty of Applied Science for a celebration that transcended time and tradition.

The heart of the festival resonated with the sacred teachings as esteemed monks delivered a profound ‘Dharma Deshanaya,’ guiding attendees on a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment. The serene atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and spiritual growth.

In the spirit of compassion, the Dansal at the festival became a focal point for acts of kindness and generosity. Students engaged in sharing meals and refreshments, fostering a sense of community and unity. The Dansal served as a reminder of the importance of compassion and altruism in our lives.

The cricket playground transformed into a sacred space, adorned with colorful Vesak lanterns and vibrant decorations. The festival not only celebrated the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Lord Buddha but also served as a unifying force, bringing together the diverse tapestry of the FAS community.
